The brook after the rain stopped
After a very dry early spring, it’s done nothing but rain for more than a month. After this last downpour, the brook could not handle any more rain and it jumped its banks. Boulders bigger than bowling balls were tumbling down the stream and formed a dam. Things settled down the next day but it was really crazy. The road was washed out in a number of spots as well.
The brook had never flooded before and rocks that were probably in place since the mid 80s or earlier where moved more than 100′.
