A great vacation week comes to an end

Although we had no real new snow, we still had a great week of skiing and watching the Olympics. Jack ended up with a stomach bug that prevented him from going on skiing on the final day but other than that, we all got lots of time out doors.
One of the best times was sliding down the frozen brook on our butts. The kids slid over and over again for at least an hour.

The Bubblecuffer Season has started

Jack and Jenna meeting with their new coach

The season has started and we’re off to a good start. I dropped the kids off and they wanted Denise and I to leave immediately – what a difference from last year when it was hard to break away.
I went and got my stuff and headed up the quad to the top of the mountain. I was thankful the kids weren’t up there as it was close to zero degrees with 40 mph winds – it was cold! 2 minutes later I ran into the kids – they must have been frozen.
The day ended with Jack going through a snow gun and getting coated in ice. He was not having fun at that point. His feet were killing him and his boots were too small. I took out the bed liners and he went without socks the next day. Combine that with the much nicer weather and they had a much better day.
